I HEART POVERTY! What a presumptive thing to say, right? C’mon! No one loves poverty. And despite our best intentions, often times we just throw money at the problem and don’t address the root issues at play.
In an increasingly globalized society, poverty is all of our responsibility. I created I HEART POVERTY as a commentary on our current approach to solving social problems; and a recognition that we have to be smarter about the way we tackle societal issues.
It’s an open-source brand that can be used by anyone to promote causes they feel are creating smart change in the world around us; and these causes are linked back together through the collective brand of I HEART POVERTY.
The point of I HEART POVERTY is to grab your attention, to make you think about the underlying issues that contribute to poverty in the world around us, and to get you to act through your time and money in support of organizations that are fighting poverty in an intelligent and sustainable way.
I HEART POVERTY collects no money. Rather, it’s a common brand that artists, bloggers, and anyone can use as a tool to direct their website visitors to a cause they believe in and support.
