November 2008 - I was recently enlightened by some Free Methodist friends about the deteriorating human rights situation in the region of Orissa, India. Since mid-2007, reports have been coming out of the Orissa region regarding human rights atrocities aimed largely at Christian populations from surrounding fundamentalist Hindus. Many are sending money, but myself and others were wondering what could be done to advocate politically on this issue; so, I set up a full web page devoted to the topic…

So very interesting to see where new platforms are taking and transforming media as we know it… -B

There is a brand new magazine on the stands; DISTILL MAGAZINE is a fashion magazine that distills other fashion magazines. There are so many great fashion mags out there, it’s hard to keep up with all the angles, so Distill is “a distillation of the very best fashion and style editorial from across the globe…”

I like the idea; definitely worth checking out… ironically, (*idea*) as the web enables us to have increasingly more media, the best media will be the ones who help us sift through what’s worth paying attention to.
